Shoolini University Bags PURSE grant
1 min readSolan, April 24 – Shoolini University has won the most prestigious PURSE (‘Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence’) grant from the Department of Science and Technology. The 9 crore grant will be used to further our cutting-edge research in the areas of water and cancer. Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla received the award from the Honorable Minister of Science and Technology today in Delhi.
Prof Atul Khosla said the prestigious grant reflected the confidence of the Indian Government in the innovative research capabilities of Shoolini University. “Our consistent excellence in research has been widely recognised by various independent and credible ranking organisations like the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, QS and the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
Shoolini University is one of the 12 universities and one of the four private universities that have been awarded the grant.
Other Private University winners are Ashoka, Manipal and BITS Pilani.
