Civil, Revenue Courts Not To Consider Four Lane Encroachments Cases

Shimla, March 30 – The Himachal Pradesh High Court has stayed the hearing of illegal encroachments related to the Parwanoo-Shimla four-lane. The court clarified that illegal encroachments from the four-lane are being removed by the orders of the High Court. The court has directed the civil and revenue courts not to hear cases of encroachments related to four lanes.

Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Virendra Singh passed these orders on perusal of DC’s report. The High Court ordered the NHAI to prepare a DPR for providing roadside toilets etc. facilities within three months so that the construction could be started before the onset of monsoon. DC Solan told the court through the report that Vivek Sood has illegally encroached upon the land for making the four-lane.

The court ordered Collector Solan to get the illegal encroachment released with immediate effect and present his report before the court. The court has fixed the matter for hearing on April 11.
