Promotion of tourism and employment of youth a priority : MLA Sudhir Sharma

Dharamshala, Feb 27 – Sudhir Sharma, who is playing his second and fourth innings in the Dharamshala constituency as an MLA, is focusing on tourism development in the region.
Reiterating his priority to promote tourism and provide employment to the youth, he has taken decisive steps in this direction.
He said that recently both the hotel associations in Dharamshala approached him and told him their demands and 15 of these demands were put in his priority list. Sudhir Sharma said that he has started working on the upcoming strategy after discussing this with the officials of the district administration and tourism department.
Sudhir Sharma told that the biggest problem of hoteliers in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj is that of parking. He has started working on this demand. Parking is being worked on in the city. Apart from this, the condition of Kotwali-McLeodganj road including Khada Danda road is also bad. It will be rectified soon.
Sudhir Sharma said that due to the poor system of the previous BJP government, Dharamshala has suffered loss in tourism. He said that the Khada Danda road was damaged during the rains in the month of August. From this road one can reach McLeodganj from Dharamshala in few minutes. Also, it is a very convenient route to the Dalai Lama Temple. This road will be made worth transportation soon.
Sudhir Sharma said that it is his priority to complete the smart city projects within the deadline. These projects have been speeded up on the demand of the association. Apart from this, status sharing of smart city projects will be done to the common urban. Multi-storey parking will also be made at McLeodganj, Bhagsunag and Naddi.
He said that a horse riding track would be developed from Dharamkot to Guna Devi temple. Garbage management will be improved in Upper Dharamshala. Work on the convention center will be expedited.
Increasing movement in Tea Garden, Church, Naddi Lake is also a major demand. It is being worked on. A cycling track will also be made from Dharamkot to TCV and Naddi. The track from Dharamkot to the waterfall is also under consideration. Beautification work will be done around Selfie Point and Waterfall.
