3 more accused held in Tushar Garag murder case

Dharamshala, Oct 27 – Three more people involved in the murder case of Tushar Garag were arrested by Kangra police on Thursday, police said here.

Sumedha Dwivedi, Deputy Inspector General of Police (IPS) North Division and Superintendent of Police Dr. Khushal Sharma (IPS) made reference to Tushar Garg murder case under Dehra police station which was committed on October 19, 2022. The duo visited the area and took stock of the present status of the investigation in the registered case under sections 342, 396, 302, 506, and 425 Indian Penal Code and section 25-54, 59 Arms Act, which was done by the Kangra police in this context.

SP Kangra said already three accused were arrested with the help of the local people and three other accused persons who were involved in this incident and were absconding have also been arrested by Kangra police.

He said till now a total of six accused persons were arrested in this case and were in police custody.

He said the identity of the fresh arrested three persons has been established and they were Dharampal Singh alias Hardeep age 21 years resident of Tehsil and police station Samrala (Ludhiana), Vishal Kumar alias Santu aged 22 years resident Tehsil Dehra district Kangra (HP) and Balbir alias Avtar age 20 years resident of Tehsil and Thana Ajnala District Amritsar Punjab.

DIG said apart from this, different teams of Special Investigation Team have been sent to other states under the guidelines of Superintendent of Police Kangra to arrest other accused involved in this murder as Superintendent of Police Kangra himself is supervising the investigation of this case and other criminals will also be arrested soon by the Kangra police.

Apart from this, the Deputy Inspector General of Police and the Superintendent of Police also conducted a surprise inspection of four inter-state blocks of the border area, Amroh, Kanpur, Jandaur and Sansarpur Terrace and issued appropriate guidelines to the police personnel posted at the points.
