Foundation Stones of Projects Worth Rs. 66.36 cr Laid
2 min readChamba, May 04 – Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur virtually laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 66.36 crore in Thunag area of Seraj Vidhan Sabha of Mandi district from Chamba today.
Chief Minister laid foundation stones of wayside amenity at Devnalah GP Bagsaid Tehsil Thunag under Nai Rahe Nai Manjile to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.79 crore, Rs. 2.75 crore Government Senior Secondary School building Sarachi, Rs. 20.85 crore 165 meter double lane traffic tunnel between Thunag and Lambathach on Mandi Gagal Chail Janjehli road, Rs. 12.61 crore Shillibagi to Deol Jainshla road including 30 meter span bridge under NABARD, Rs. 3.50 crore 30 metre span double lane bridge on Ropari Khud at Thunag, Rs. 1.11 crore staff quarter at CHC Gadagusaini, Rs. 13.78 crore road Patikri Bara Shill Kashmblindhar including bridge over Bakhlikhad under NABARD, Rs. 1.64 crore PHC building at Bara in Tehsil Chachiot, Rs. 24 lakh Oak Tasar Basic Seed Storage building at Gadagussain, Rs. 37 lakh Sericulture Resource Centre at Dharot GP Tharjoon, Rs. 2.03 crore Bus Stand at Thunag, Rs. 80 lakh remdodeling of WSS Seri Baga for villages Nehra, Kandhal, Bhajauni, Chawag in G.P. Kakradhar, Sub Tehsil Chhatri, Rs. 87 lakh remodeling of various WSS of scheduled caste villages Jhundi, Keoli and Balainda, Tehsil Thunag and Rs. 2.03 crore LIS to village Nihri, Majoun in GP Sunah Lamathach of Tehsil Thunag.
Chief Minister directed the executing agencies for ensuring time bound completion of all the projects, foundation stone of which was laid by him today. He said that all these projects would go a long way in facilitating the people of the Seraj area. He said that the proposed tunnel on Mandi Gagal Chail Janehli road would reduce the distance by over 2.50 kms and would be constructed by the State Public Works Department by an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore. He said that a bus stand at Thunag would also be constructed at Thunag and would ensure a proper place for buses plying in Seraj vidhan Sabha area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the officers must ensure that a proper schedule must be framed for ensuring that the developmental projects were completed within a year so that he could personally dedicate these projects to the people of the area. He said that his visit to Seraj Vidhan Sabha area was long due and due to the pandemic he was not able to do so.
Seraj Mandal BJP President Bhagi Rath Sharma said that the pace of development has been expedited during the last about three and a half year in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area, the credit of this goes to Chief Minister.
