Muskan Chauhan from Shimla apprised the Chief Minister that she had learnt more in the field than from books. When asked what she had learned so far, she said she was trained in plantation, nursery management and forest conservation. The Chief Minister gently reminded her, “If forest fires break out in your beat area, be careful and stay alert.”
Divyanshu Singh, posted in Parwanoo said that he had limited knowledge about forests before joining, but now he understands their value and importance. He expressed his commitment to working with full enthusiasm not only in afforestation efforts but also in protecting existing forests.
Akanksha Thakur from Kullu thanked Chief Minister for the opportunity to serve as a Van Mitra. She said this was the first time that 2,061 jobs were given at once in the Forest department. Having joined just one and a half months ago, she shared that she was gradually understanding the workings of the department.
