Adventure Water Sports to Begin Soon at Pong Dam: DC

Dharamshala, Feb 16: Tourists visiting Pong Dam will soon enjoy adventure water sports, including motorboat rides, cruises, and thrilling boat experiences. The District Water Sports Society has completed the selection process for a water sports operator, who has been instructed to commence activities soon.

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa stated that the project, a dream initiative of the Chief Minister, is being implemented with serious efforts. He emphasized the vast potential for tourism development in the Pong Dam region, with plans to enhance infrastructure and create self-employment opportunities.

Efforts will be made to maintain the ecological balance of the area by promoting environment-friendly tourism. The Forest Department’s Wildlife Wing will contribute to beautifying the region, and water adventure sports will be encouraged to attract more tourists.
