The festival’s Chief Guest, Prof Jeffrey Levett, President of the World Philosophical Forum, graced the occasion, while Prof Irene Doura Kavadia, Secretary General of Writers Capital Foundation, hosted the event. Chief Advisor Joan Joseph Barcelo set the stage for an intellectually stimulating literary journey, and Despena Dalmaris, author and editor of Writers International Edition, presented the concept note, exploring the multifaceted dimensions of the Agni theme.
In an era dominated by technological prowess, Preeth Padmanabhan Nambiar, President of Writers Capital International Foundation and Chairman of the Panorama International Arts & Literature Festival, highlighted the transformative power of virtual platforms. He emphasized how the virtual mode has enabled literary enthusiasts worldwide to connect without constraints.
Known for its exploration of highly philosophical themes, this year’s festival theme also addresses pressing global issues such as climate change through the lens of global warming. Irene Doura-Kavadia expressed the hope of inspiring a collective voice against global warming, igniting the spark of change.
As a foundation listed under the civil societies in the United Nations, the Writers Capital Foundation actively supports the organization’s aims and objectives. The festival will publish ‘The Quill Compendium 2023,’ a global directory featuring biographies of significant writers worldwide. The Panorama International Literary Awards, scheduled for June 2024 in Athens, Greece, will further celebrate literary excellence.
Greek writer Olga Acheimastou delivered a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the unfolding chapters of the festival, while author and Executive member of the foundation, Giorgos Sardelis, extended the vote of thanks.
