Impact Organisation conducted Exposure Visit

Patiala, 19 August : Impact organisation in association with the Water Supply and Sanitation Dept, Punjab organized the Exposure visits for the Proposed 316 villages of District Patiala and 92 villages of District Fathegarh Sahib. As per the Guidelines and instructions given by the Mr Raghubir Singh Team Leader of Impact organisation Batches of participants were send for exposure visit to surface water Treatment Plant, Moga.The purpose was to inhance the knowledge of the participants in regard to the Canal water and the give the technical knowledge aspects of the plant. Hence the visit for the Surface Water Treatment Plant, Moga was organized. A group of 100 people mainly( Gram Panchayat Water Supply and Sanitation Committee Members of the village) GPWSC members of the various 30 villages of Block Rajpura, District Patiala. They visited the water Tratement plant along with the the Impact organisation team members consisting of IEC ,CDS ,BRC. Surface Water Treatment Plant Project at village Daudhar District Moga has the capacity of Water Treatment of( 50 MLD ) .It is one of its kind which is well equipted with the latest technology and water testing labortory which ensure a regular monitoring of the water quality. The project is developed with the state of Art Technology which is Fully Automated and has (SCADA CONTROLS.)
On reaching the Plant, Water Supply and Sanitation Department ,Punjab representative Mr.Veer Karan Singh (BRC ) give a warm welcome to All the participants.The Site Engineer of the Surface Water Plant, Moga Mr. Himanshu (Site Engineer) give the introduction on the Need of the Water Treatment Plant he explained its Function, working of the plant and the Water Treatment process he explained the work of the plant and the various steps involved in getting the purified water.
It was a nice experience in which the participants get a chance to get themselves similar to the practical knowledge of the different stages of Water Purification.
Mr. Amandeep Singh IEC of the Impact Organisation said that our main purpose for this visit was to give the the practical knowledge about, How Raw Water is treated..? and How water is distributed in the different villages and to give the the practical exposure to the participants and to educate the GPWSC members their Role and Responsibilities.
The visit was quite informative for All the participants and has satisfied the curiosity of the participants in regard to Canal water.
Ms. Sarabjit Kaur( GPWSC Member of Aluna village)Block Rajpura, shared her experience, she said it was a great experience and has enhances her knowledge about the Canal water and its benefits for the villages. We will adopt this water scheme for our area also and we will encourage others to visit the water treatment plant so that they can get to know the Benefits of the canal water.
Mr.Narinder Pal Singh sarpanch of the Pabri Village ,Block Rajpura, Distt Patiala said the Canal water is safe for Drinking, after water treatment is done, it is much cheaper and health wise is more and more suitable. Safe water is need for your future. It is tested in laboratory which is good for Health. We want this canal water scheme in our village areas.
The villages thanked the Impact organisation Team – members for conducting this kind of visit and various GPWSC Members of the villages assured that whatever possible efforts need to be done they will do it to get the the canal water in our area. Tea / snacks and Lunch was served to All the participants in the end.
On this occasion from Impact Team CDS Lovely Rani, BRC Poonam Rani, Sinder Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur ,Munna Singh, Harvinder Singh, Shabnam and Meenakshi were also present. During the visit the Covid 19 Guidelines were followed.
