IFFI’s 52nd Edition With Special Retrospective on Satyajit Ray
1 min readDelhi, Jul 5 – The 52nd edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be held in Goa from November 20-28. The festival will be held in a hybrid format, considering the success of the last edition in January 2021, the government announced.
The call for entries for participation in the competitive section of the international festival will remain open till August 31, 2021.
On the occasion of the birth centenary of the maestro Satyajit Ray, this time the Directorate of Films Festivals will hold a special retrospective in recognition of the auteur’s legacy.
Starting from this year, the “Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Cinema” has been instituted will be given at the IFFI every year. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar released the regulations and poster for the festival.
