YSSI donates medicines for covid patients

Solan, May 25 –The Yagoda Satsang Society of India (YSSI), which was set up by yoga guru, Paramhansa Yogananda In 1919, has donated medicines worth about Rs two crore for covid patients across the country through its various branches.

As part of the philanthropic project, Doxycycline Hyclate and Lactic Acid and Bacillus capsules, needed for recovery of about 400 covid patients, were handed over to Dr Mukta Gupta, incharge of covid cases, Solan, by a team of the Society comprising Mr T N Verma, Mr Mohinder Thakur and Mr Deepak Anand.

The Society has over 200 branches across the country and all the branches have been sent medicines for further distribution.

Parmahansa Yogananda, who had spent 36 of his life in the United States of America to spread yogic practices and who has lakhs of followers throughout the world, is also the author of the best selling book : Autobiography of a Yogi.

Shoolini University Chancellor Prof P K Khosla said that the University has also set up a fund of Rs one crore for covid care which are to be utilised through the Yogananda Covid Care Centres in the rural areas of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.
