Youth Parliament debate competition won by journalism students at Shoolini Univ

The Department of Political Science, Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, organised a Youth Parliament debate competition on Thursday which was won by a team of the students of School of Journalism and New Media.
Students from different programmes and courses at Shoolini University participated in the competition and participated with enthusiasm.
The competition was judged by Prof. Pratip Mazumdar, Director, School of Hospitality and Dr Chander Mohan Gupta from the Faculty of Legal Sciences. They observed that the students “showcased their excellent ability for critical analysis and structured articulation”.
The winning team comprised of Shubh Rana, Manan Monga and Saket Saurabh. The first runners-up team was team 4 – Rhea, Vaibhav Pandey, Atoshi, Jitika and Aatish Gaurav. For the second runners up there was a tie between team 1 – Gautam, Rudransh, Janhvi, Vasundhra, Alice and team 2 – Taranveer, Hansika Shree, Sudhanshu, Ananya.
The best orator award was given to Vaibhav Pandey from B.Tech Mechatronics and the best deliberator was awarded to Shubha Rana. The Volunteers for the event were Mohit Verma, Vidhi Simer, Aman Sharma, Vedanshi, Prince Kanwar and Dolly Thakur. The participating students got a lot to learn about the modalities and framework of the Parliamentary Debate said Dr. Ekta Singh Assistant Prof Department of Political Science. She further said that the Liberal Arts School plans to organise inter University Parliamentary Debate Competition in the future. Prof Manju Jaidka, Dr Siddarth Didhwal, Dr Sakshi Sundaram, Mr Samrat Sharma and Dr Purnima Bali actively participated in the discussion.
