Youth expressed their views on the topic ” One Nation-One Election “

A district-level competition of the program “Youth MP 2025” was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, at the Dhauladhar campus of Central University Himachal Pradesh Dharamshala. Vice Chancellor Professor Sat Prakash Bansal, special guest Dean Academics Professor Pradeep Kumar and special guest Registrar Professor Suman Sharma were the chief guests in this competition. This district-level competition is being held on 20 and 21 March at the Dhauladhar campus of the Central University and the selected youth from this are presenting their views in the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The youth selected in the state-level competition in the fourth phase will present their views in the Parliament of India. On the first day, 35 youth participated in the competition. The youth gave their presentation on the topic “One Nation, One Election: A Step Towards a Developed India.”

The program started with the lighting of lamps. After this, the coordinator of the program, Associate Professor of the Hindi Department, Dr. Malkiyat Singh, gave information about the program and presented a video of the activities of NSS in the three campuses of the university: Dharamshala, Shahpur, and Dehra. Which was appreciated by all. After this, he informed the dignitaries about this program. The Registrar of the University, Prof. Suman Sharma, while welcoming everyone, said that it is a matter of pride for the university that they have got the opportunity to represent again. The youth have also got a platform to express their views. He sent best wishes to all the youth.

After this, in his address, the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Prof. Bansal, wished the students good luck and congratulated them for the upcoming competition. He called upon the youth to contribute to the development of the country. He said that the Central University has earlier also successfully organized state-level competitions like Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat and Vikasit Bharat Yuva Nidhaar Samvaad. This time also we have got a chance to represent. Congratulating the youth participating in this competition, he said that in such competitions only a few selected youth will be able to go to the next stage but for this all the youth who have participated in this competition deserve congratulations. At the same time, the special guest, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, encouraged the youth to participate in such programs. The coordinator of this program was Dr. Malkiyat Singh, Associate Professor of the Hindi Department.
