Shimla: BJP Mahila Morcha President Vandana Yogi has strongly condemned the comments made by Congress Minister Jagat Negi regarding BJP leader and MP Kangana Ranaut, calling them disrespectful and derogatory towards women. Yogi emphasized that political leaders should respect women leaders, and the remarks made by the Congress minister reflect a lack of regard for women’s dignity. She questioned whether the Congress leaders would make such remarks if they considered the women in their own families.
Yogi also criticized the Congress government for its handling of the promised ₹1,500 assistance to women in Himachal Pradesh, pointing out that the government is now asking women to return the amount already given. She highlighted that 54,000 women who received ₹4,500 each over three months are now being asked to refund the money, raising concerns about the government’s credibility and commitment to women’s welfare.
Yogi urged the Congress leadership to focus on fulfilling their promises rather than making derogatory remarks about women. She added that ruling through lies and deception will not last, and the government should address the real issues faced by the people.
