World Water Day celebrated at Shoolini University

Shoolini University inspires students for water conservation on World Water Day

Shoolini University hosted an inter-departmental poster-making competition on the occasion of World Water Day, observed annually on March 22nd. The event, organised by the School of Biotechnology and Food Technology, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines.
The competition aimed to raise awareness and stimulate dialogue on critical issues pertaining to water conservation and management. Participants were asked to create visually compelling posters addressing three key themes: sustainable water management, the impact of water pollution on human health, and accountability in addressing water pollution.
Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean of Student Welfare, said, “It was a great initiative to spread awareness about water saving on World Water Day. The students exhibited remarkable support and enthusiasm.
The event was steered by faculty coordinators Geetansh and Mamta from the School of Biotechnology and Food Technology. The collaborative efforts of the library team were also acknowledged for their hospitality in hosting the event. Additionally, Vipul and Pooja also contributed to the seamless organisation of the event.
The posters submitted by the students will soon undergo evaluation by a panel of judges, with prizes set to be awarded to commendable entries. The competition served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and commitment to addressing pressing environmental issues,  Mrs Poonam Nanda added.
