**Awareness Programme on World Population Day Held at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla**
Shimla, July 11: On the occasion of World Population Day, an awareness programme was organized at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, by Yuva Mandal Bhadech under the aegis of My Youth India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event was chaired by the school Principal, Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty.
During the programme, students including Sakshi Verma, Palak, Jiya, Lakshya Verma, Kritika, Nayasha Thakur, and Akasha shared insightful views on population explosion, its challenges, and its impact on the nation’s progress. Teacher Surendra Sharma presented key facts and statistics on the issue through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.
The Principal and Vice Principal, Mrs. Sharon Nanda, appreciated the participants’ efforts and awarded them with mementoes. Mrs. Chakravarty also emphasized the importance of addressing overpopulation and thanked My Youth India and Yuva Mandal Bhadech for organizing the programme to spread awareness among young minds.
