Workshop on Cervical Cancer Awareness Held at JUIT

A Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination workshop was successfully conducted at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, organized by the Centre of Healthcare Technologies and Informatics (CEHTI), Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, JUIT, in association with Himachal Tonite.

The session was led by Dr. Alok Sharma, a renowned consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, and National Faculty for HPV Vaccination.

Dr. Sharma highlighted the critical role of regular screenings and vaccines in reducing the incidence of cervical cancer. He also emphasized the need for public awareness and proactive healthcare measures. The session was interactive, with discussions on risk factors, symptoms, and advancements in medical research related to cervical cancer.

The workshop received an enthusiastic response from participants, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in spreading awareness and promoting preventive healthcare in society.

Eminent faculty members, including Prof. Sudhir Syal, Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh, Dr. Ragini Raj Singh, and Medical Officer Dr. Ankita Sohal, were present at the event, actively engaging in discussions and encouraging students to spread awareness on women’s health.
