Warm Welcome for Victorious Players from Shaheed Sohan Singh Memorial Government Senior Secondary School

Nahan, September 22, 2023*: The school administration and the school management committee extended a grand welcome to the victorious athletes from Shaheed Sohan Singh Memorial Government Senior Secondary School, Manpur Devda, upon their arrival at the school. Manish Tandon, the school’s DEO (District Education Officer), revealed that students of the school participated in the district-level sports competition in hockey, which took place in Nahan from September 18 to September 21.
The female students from the school showcased excellent performance in this competition, securing the first position in hockey at the district level. Based on this outstanding performance, seven female students, Priyanshi, Shagun, Neha, Radhika, Isha, Vanshika, and Ankita, have been selected to compete at the state-level hockey competition scheduled to be held in Solan district, Una.
Similarly, in the male category, the school’s athletes demonstrated impressive sportsmanship, securing the second position. Five male students, Surya, Anas Ali, Vansh, Vikki, and Yogeshwar, have been chosen to represent the school at the state-level hockey competition, which will take place in Hamirpur district, Sujanpur Tihra.
The school’s Principal, Nilesh Nagwal, heartily congratulated all the athletes and wished them success in the upcoming state-level hockey competitions. He expressed hope that these student-athletes would exhibit remarkable sportsmanship at the state level and bring honor to their school, village, and district. On this occasion, the school’s entire staff, along with the school management committee’s chairman, Krishna Kumar, Sitar Mohammad, Vikram Tomar, Harvinder Singh, Rinku, Ramu, Sher Singh, Amar Singh, Mohan Lal, and others from the local community, were present.
