BJP spokesperson Vivek Sharma launched a sharp attack on the Himachal Pradesh government, targeting Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, calling him one of Rahul Gandhi’s “navratnas.” He criticized the government’s decision to close schools while aggressively opening liquor vends, questioning whether this represented the true model of development.
Sharma alleged that multitask workers and Home Guard personnel were being deployed to run liquor shops and mocked the situation by warning that employees might be forced to promote liquor door-to-door.
He highlighted rising dissatisfaction among government employees, pensioners, unemployed youth, and even Congress workers, emphasizing the helplessness within the ruling party.
Citing financial mismanagement, Sharma remarked on patients being charged for referral slips and passengers weighed along with their luggage by HRTC. He warned of a future where state departments might resort to selling services on the roadside.
Concluding, Sharma mocked that in the next Assembly elections, Congress leaders might even be seen selling party tickets outside Rajiv Bhavan.
