Virtual session on Surya Namaskar held on Makar Sankranti

School of Ancient Indian Wisdom and Yogic Studies of Shoolini University organised a virtual session for Surya Namaskar demonstration on Makar Sankranti.
The programme, which also marked completion of 75 years of independence under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, was organised on online mode in view of the Covid pandemic.
The National Yogasana Sports Federation’ had decided to conduct 75 crore Surya Namaskars on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On Friday, all yoga institutions across the country made efforts to complete 75 crore Surya Namaskars by demonstrating their own Surya Namaskar practices.
School of Ancient Indian Wisdom and Yogic Studies of Shoolini University has done 234 registration of Yoga practitioners and they all completed their demonstration through online medium. Dr. Mala Tripathi started the programme with chanting of mantras and prayer. Outline of the programme was delivered by Dr. Subodh Saurabh Singh, Head, School of Ancient Indian Wisdom and Yogic Studies while welcoming all the yoga practitioners.
All the yogis collectively practiced the 24 Chakra Surya Namaskar. At the end of the programme , the Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Shimla, Mr Narendra Sood addressed the session. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Mala Tripathi. Yoga lovers and practitioners from Shoolini University, Yoga Bharati Himachal, St. Joseph’s School, Lucknow and other yoga institutes also participated on this occasion.
