Vikramaditya Singh Reviews Ongoing Development Works in Shimla Rural

Today, Minister of Rural Development Vikramaditya Singh chaired a review meeting in Shimla Rural Assembly constituency to assess various ongoing development projects and pending demands in the region. Senior officials from various departments were present during the meeting.

Singh emphasized his commitment to ensuring comprehensive development of the area and directed officials to ensure timely completion of all pending works. Projects nearing completion were prioritized for immediate attention. He instructed officials to blacklist contractors unable to meet deadlines or maintain quality standards until improvements were demonstrated.

Detailed discussions were held on various developmental projects underway in Shimla Rural, including those under the Prime Minister’s Road Scheme, construction of access roads, school buildings, science laboratories, Ayurvedic dispensaries, polytechnic colleges, library buildings, construction and tarring of various roads, primary health institutions, and community health centers.

The Minister also reviewed the progress of water projects undertaken by the Water Resources Department in rural areas of Shimla, stressing the importance of adhering to timelines for water supply projects and rainwater harvesting.

During discussions with Transport Department officials, Singh expressed his commitment to improving transportation facilities for the people of rural Shimla. Initiatives discussed included initiating bus services under the Himachal Road Transport Corporation in various areas of Shimla Rural, expanding existing bus routes, providing new buses at Sunni Bus Stand, and constructing a new building at Dhami Bus Stand.

Vikramaditya Singh also met with municipal officials under Shimla Municipal Corporation to discuss ongoing development projects and demands in the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, including laying sewage pipelines, constructing parking and ambulance roads, among other initiatives.
