Vikramaditya Singh Launches Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation to Serve Society

Shimla, April 5 – Himachal Pradesh PWD and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced the formation of the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation in memory of the six-time Chief Minister. Addressing a press conference at his residence, Holi Lodge, he shared that the foundation aims to contribute significantly to the fields of education, healthcare, and social welfare across the state.
Vikramaditya Singh, who will serve as the foundation’s president, said that four other members have been nominated initially, with plans to expand by including experts from education, healthcare, and other sectors. Emphasizing that the foundation is apolitical and open to all, he added that the goal is to carry forward the legacy of Raja Virbhadra Singh’s public service and connect with all sections of society.
He also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for approving the installation of a statue of Raja Virbhadra Singh at Daulat Singh Park, Ridge, Shimla, which will be unveiled on June 23, his birth anniversary. Singh clarified that the foundation will bear the expenses of the statue’s construction with transparent contributions from well-wishers.
