Vikramaditya Singh calls on Union RD Minister

Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh called on Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan at New Delhi today. He requested for speedy approval of 637 habitations pending for verification for inclusion in PMGSY-4.

He also informed the Union Minister that 57 percent roads in the state were constructed under PMGSY and added that despite spending 250 crores yearly on maintenance of these roads, the state was in need of funds keeping in view the tough terrain. He urged for additional funds for the current financial year for maintenance of the roads.

The Minister also apprised that three roads constructed under PMGSY-1 require up-gradation. He therefore requested to add these roads in PMGSY-4.

He also thanked the Union Minister for approving the road projects under PMGSY-3  along with the extension of four works of Dodra Kwar and Bara Bhangal area till 31st March, 2026 under PMGSY-1.

Kamlesh Paswan assured of all possible assistance to the state.

Senior officers of HPPWD and the Union Ministry were present in the meeting.
