Vibrant Holi Celebrations Illuminate Himachal Pradesh National Law University with Cultural fervour

March, 16 2025, Shimla – The Cultural Committee of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), under the aegis of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, hosted a vibrant and joyous Holi celebration on 13th March 2025. The event, filled with color, music, and festive cheer, was a resounding success and left lasting smiles on the faces of all attendees.
The celebration commenced with a traditional gulal tilak ritual, wherein faculty members honoured Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena by applying the auspicious mark of gulal. In keeping with the cultural ethos of Holi, students took the stage to deliver insightful speeches on the historical and cultural significance of the festival. Their addresses eloquently highlighted the role of Holi in promoting communal harmony and uniting diverse traditions under one colorful and celebratory umbrella.
The highlight of the event was the Cultural Committee’s Dance Club, which showcased three dynamic and energetic contemporary dance performances set to popular Hindi Holi-themed songs. The evening culminated in a lively community dance, where both faculty and students came together in an open dance session, celebrating the joyous essence of Holi with music, organic colors, and collective revelry. The spirit of Holi, marked by unity and festivity, was palpable as everyone engaged in a shared expression of happiness and cultural celebration.the event was organized by Dr. Ruchi Saphaia, Faculty Chairperson and Dr. Navditya Tanwar, Faculty Convenor of the Cultural Committee, HPNLU.
