USP (Brazil) Professor Visits JUIT to Boost Global Academic Collaboration

Waknaghat, Jan 14, 2026: Prof. Anuj Kumar Chandel from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil visited Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat on January 9-10, 2026, aiming to strengthen international academic collaboration, research cooperation and knowledge exchange.

During the two-day visit, Prof. Chandel held detailed discussions with Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma and Prof. Sudhir Syal (Dean – Research & Internationalization) on possibilities of joint research initiatives, academic partnerships, and faculty-student exchange programmes between JUIT and USP.

Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma appreciated Prof. Chandel’s visit and discussed the scope of a probable MoU between the two universities. Prof. Chandel also praised JUIT’s interdisciplinary research culture and sustainable initiatives like biogas and composting, while sharing insights on his ongoing work related to biomass and fuels.

Prof. Sudhir Syal acknowledged the support of CEO  Manu Bhaskar Gaur in promoting internationalization. The visit was coordinated by Prof. Garlapati Vijay Kumar.
