Frequent Accidents Spark Outrage Among Residents and School Authorities

Shimla, Dec 16 : Ram Bazaar near St. Thomas School has turned into a hotspot for accidents due to unsafe infrastructure. In a shocking incident today, Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarti, Principal of St. Thomas School, got her leg trapped in a roadside grill while crossing near the Army Training Command. She endured excruciating pain for an hour until locals managed to free her by cutting the grill.

Residents and school authorities have criticized the Shimla Municipal Corporation for its negligence. This stretch, frequented by schoolchildren, staff, and pedestrians, has witnessed multiple accidents, yet no safety measures have been implemented.

Locals also highlighted the lack of a proper roadside grill near the Army Training Command, which has narrowed the path and poses a grave danger to pedestrians. The school management and residents have urged the municipal authorities to inspect the area immediately, repair the damaged infrastructure, and ensure pedestrian safety to prevent future mishaps.

The civic inaction continues to endanger lives, raising serious concerns about public safety and infrastructure maintenance in the city.
