UK National Found Unconscious in Shimla Hotel, Declared Dead at IGMC

Shimla, February 21, 2026: An 86-year-old UK citizen, identified as Barry Elvin Moss, was found unconscious in a hotel room in Lower Kaithu, Shimla, late last night. According to police, hotel staff informed authorities after he failed to respond and was discovered lying on the floor of Room 103. Officials reached the spot, secured the room, and shifted him to IGMC Shimla, where doctors declared him dead. The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem examination. Authorities have initiated communication with the UK Embassy, and further action will be taken under relevant legal provisions after receiving a response.
