Two Brothers Caught with Heroin in Shimla, Arrested by Police

Shimla, Dec 14 : In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Shimla police arrested two brothers from Punjab with 12.28 grams of heroin. The arrest was made during a police checkpoint near Housing Board Colony on the Kalka-Shimla NH-05 on Friday.
According to the police, the duo was traveling on a motorcycle (registration number PB65AB-7156) from Chandigarh to Shimla. Upon stopping the vehicle for inspection, the police discovered the heroin in their possession.
The accused have been identified as 28-year-old Davinder Singh and 34-year-old Mandeep Singh, both residents of Wassi Shekha village in Mohali, Punjab. They are siblings and are now booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The Shimla police have initiated further investigations to uncover the source and intended destination of the contraband.
