Tributes Paid to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on His 100th Birth Anniversary by Governor and Leader of Opposition

On the occasion of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 100th birth anniversary, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur paid tribute by offering flowers at the statue of Atal Ji at Ridge Ground. Following this, Governor Shukla inaugurated an exhibition showcasing the life of Atal Ji by cutting the ribbon.
Governor Shukla reminisced about Atal Ji’s legacy, stating, “People said Atal Ji should live for a hundred years. While he did not live to be a hundred, we are celebrating his centenary. Atal Ji achieved what many only dreamt of in their lifetime. His leadership in conducting the Pokhran nuclear tests made the world take notice, sending a strong message that India would not bow to any external force. He taught us that we are messengers of peace, but we also know how to instigate change.”
Shukla further praised Atal Ji for his economic reforms, governance, and leadership, noting how his leadership was celebrated as an example of good governance, and how he had made India stand strong on the world stage. He concluded by stating that Atal Ji had shown that India would eventually become a spiritual and global leader.
The ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as Mayor Surender Chauhan, BJP State Organization Secretary Siddharthan, State Vice President Sanjeev Katwal, Secretary Sanjay Thakur, Media In-charge Karn Nanda, District President Prem Thakur, Candidate Sanjay Sood, Suresh Bhardwaj, MLA Balbeer Verma, and many other party workers.
