Training Camp for ASI 2023-24 Conducted by NSO in Shimla

The Regional Sub-Office of the National Statistical Office (NSO), located in Shimla, conducted a one-day training camp for the Annual Survey of Non-Incorporated Sectors (ASI) for the year 2023-24 on November 6.
The inaugural ceremony of the training camp was led by Mr. Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director of the Himachal Pradesh Regional Division of the National Statistical Office. In his address, Mr. Haji emphasized the importance of the ASI program, highlighting how the data collected through this initiative plays a significant role in government policies, economic activities, and other services, especially for non-agricultural enterprises.
Additionally, Mr. Ajay Kumar Kumawat, Assistant Director of the Regional Office, Himachal Pradesh Region, also shared his insights on the occasion.
The primary objective of the training camp was to engage in in-depth discussions about the challenges encountered during the survey work and to deliberate on the alternative strategies and resolutions to improve the formulation of policies and plans. The training camp was a success, with the active participation of officials and staff from the Regional Office in Shimla and its sub-regional offices in Hamirpur, Mandi, and Dharamshala.
