Train To Pakistan Evoke Pathos At St. Thomas’
2 min readSt.Thomas; School Shimla Senior Annual Day Function evoked pathos as they brilliantly staged Train To Pakistan. The production forced spectators to contemplate on the chaotic times when blood shed ruled the roster.
St. Thomas School, Shimla organized Annual prize distribution ceremony for the senior students of classes IX to XII on 16th November 2022 . Dr. Neelam Mattu, a Senior Research Scientist, Department of Biological Sciences, Himachal Pradesh University, presided as the chief guest for the function.
Principal St. Thomas’ Mrs.Vidhupriya chakravarthy highlighted the annual activities of the school and presented the annual report.
In view of the 75th celebration of Amrit Mahotsav of our nation. A play ‘Train to Pakistan’ was staged by the students In which an attempt was made to show the carnage, pain, separation, loss of life and tragedy during the partition of India and Pakistan.
School Choir Subhashish presented a praise and worship hymn during the Annual Day function. Apart from this Pushpanjali (an offering of flowers) dance was presented in which three forms of dance were depicted Which includes Kathak, Odissi, and Bharatanatyam.
The annual prize distribution ceremony was held in which excellent students were honored by the Chief Guest and the Principal of the school.
The chief guest for the function, Dr.Neelam Mattoo, motivated the students to work hard in life and bring good results. She also appreciated the performances of the participants and was moved by the enthralling performance of the students of the play.
Principal Mrs.Vidhupriya chakravarthy, Principal St. Thomas’ while addressing the students said that every year the school is making more and more progress. Be it the annual result or any activity, the students of the school participate in all the competitions and bring good results. She also inspired the students to be a good person in their life and always work hard to achieve their set goals.
