Tragic Bus Accident in Kullu’s Ani Area: Driver Dead, Many Injured

Kullu, Dec 10 : A devastating accident occurred in the Ani area of Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, when a private bus carrying 25 passengers plunged into a deep gorge near Shakelad on the Swad-Nigan road. The mishap, which happened at around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, left the bus shattered, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to multiple passengers.

Local residents rushed to the scene, initiating rescue operations before the police and administration arrived. According to reports, the accident was caused by a mechanical failure, with the bus’s belt breaking and rendering the vehicle uncontrollable. The injured were quickly transported to the hospital for medical aid, while relief and rescue efforts are still underway.

Deputy Commissioner Kullu, Torul S Ravish, confirmed the driver’s death and assured that the administration is extending full support to the victims.
