Three Writers Honored by Himalayan Literature, Culture, and Environment Forum for Outstanding Contributions

The Himalayan Literature, Culture, and Environment Forum has announced literary honors for three Hindi writers from Himachal Pradesh for their remarkable contributions to literature. Senior critic and educator Dr. Hemraj Kaushik will receive the “Lifetime Achievement Award”, while Jagdish Bali and Dr. Satyanarayan Snehi will be honored with the *”Himalayan Creation Award”* for their continued excellence in poetry and criticism.
Forum President and renowned writer S.R. Harnot shared that Dr. Hemraj Kaushik has been active in Hindi criticism for over four decades, with 18 published works. His notable books include “Amritlal Nagar Ke Upanyas,” “Nirmal Verma: Vyaktitva evam Krititva,” and “Katha Samay ki Gatisheelta.” Born in Solan in 1949, Dr. Kaushik has received numerous national and state awards, including the National Teacher Award and Saraswati Samman.
Jagdish Bali, born in 1971 in Aahar village, Shimla, writes in both Hindi and English and is known for his bestseller “Chal Chala Chal” and the English book “The Spark is Within You.” He is also a motivational speaker and columnist.
Dr. Satyanarayan Snehi, a critic and poet, has published five original and several edited books, including “Mera Gaon” and “Samkalin Kavita Mein Lok Chetna.” Born in 1974 in Dharech village, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Himachal Education Department.
The honors will be presented in a grand ceremony in Shimla.
