Three-day state-level youth festival inaugurated at Height College Shahpur

Today, the three-day state level youth festival organized under the aegis of Himachal Pradesh Technical University at Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology College (HIET) Shahpur was inaugurated by the State Minister for Town and Country Planning, Housing, Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, Rajesh Dharmani.
On this occasion, he said that engineering students are often busy with their studies, but the state government’s priority is the overall development of students. To this end, sports and cultural activities are now being organized in technical institutions so that students can participate actively in social activities along with their education.
He said that cultural programmes are equally important because along with personality development, they also help in learning many new things.
He said that in the era of Artificial Intelligence, technology is changing very fast and students will have to be prepared for future challenges. A lot still needs to be done in the field of technical education.
He stressed the need for regular prayer meetings in all technical institutions and said that various clubs should also be formed within the institutions to promote interaction among students. He said that technical experts play a vital role in making life easier and better.
He wished the students for their bright future.
The program began with the lighting of a lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati. During the ceremony, the chief guest, Technical Education Minister, Shahpur MLA, and Deputy Chief Whip, Kewal Singh Pathania, was honored with a shawl, cap, and memento.
At the event, Professor Dr. Rajesh, Dean of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, welcomed the chief guest, Deputy Chief Whip, and other guests and provided information about the three-day program organized by the university. He also highlighted the various academic and co-curricular activities conducted by the university.
Around 600 participants from around 20 government and private technical colleges of the state are participating in this three-day state level youth festival.
During this, participants will showcase their talent in various cultural competitions including drama, skit, group dance, free-style dance, solo song.
The grand and captivating cultural presentations presented by the participants during the programme captivated the audience.
On this occasion, Secretary Technical Education Board Ajay Pathak, SDM Shahpur Ganesh Thakur, HPTU Prof. Dr. Rajesh, Assistant Registrar Dr. Sarendra, Himuda CEO Dr. Surendra, Ramanuj Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police Veer Bahadur, Chairman of Hight College Raman Kayastha, MD Dushyant Kayastha, Principal Shahpur College Vishwajeet, Block Congress President Surjeet Rana, General Secretary Pradeep Balouria, Executive Engineer Jalshakti Amit Dogra, BDO Rait Kamaljeet, Executive Engineer Public Works Neeraj Jaswal, Advisor to Deputy Chief Whip Vinay, HRTC BOD Director Vivek Rana, Executive Engineer Electricity Amit Sharma, Range Officer Sumit Sharma, besides other dignitaries and their representatives from various technical institutes of the state were present.
