Third Round of MBBS and BDS Counseling in Himachal Pradesh

The third and final round of online counseling for MBBS and BDS courses has begun in Himachal Pradesh. The provisional list for this round has been released, and 2,544 candidates are competing for the remaining seats. Atal Medical and Research University in Mandi Nerchouk has the highest number of candidates listed in the HP quota, with 1,840 candidates, and 95 candidates have been included in the NRIs quota.
There are 704 candidates listed in the management quota. However, candidates listed in the merit list have also been allocated seats according to other reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC, single girl child, ex-servicemen, economically weaker sections, and physically handicapped categories.
Dr. Praveen Sharma, the Controller of Examinations, stated that the third round of counseling for the vacant seats in MBBS and BDS courses has commenced. The merit list has also been released. The final merit list will be issued on Sunday, and candidates can request their preferred colleges until September 10. The allocation of provisional seats will take place on September 16, and the final seat allocation will be done on September 18.
As of now, 35 seats for MBBS and 43 seats for BDS remain vacant after the completion of two rounds of counseling. In the government sector, there are four vacant seats for MBBS, and in the private sector, there are 31 vacant seats that need to be filled in this round. Therefore, the provisional list includes 2,544 names of candidates competing for these seats in the third round.
