Theft case under trial absconding from HP hospital : Jail officer

Nahan, Apr 15 – An under trial in a theft case went absconding from Hospital at Nahan of Himachal Pradesh since the last seven days and Police and jail authorities have not been able to trace him out so far.
Jail Superintendent of Central Jail Nahan Sushil Thakur informed today that the under trial was admitted to Medical College Hospital Nahan on April 4 and after remaining in the hospital he was sent to model central jail Nahan on April 8 but he gave a slip to jail authorities and was still absconding.
Undertrial belonged to Jagadhri, Haryana and was in judicial custody after he was booked under section 457, 380 IPC. Nakas(Blockade) have also been set in the various entry points in the district to nab the accused.
