THDCIL Flagged off Mobile Medical Van cum Ambulance at Nirmal Ashram Eye Hospital, Rishikesh

Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, informed that THDC is a premier Mini-Ratna Schedule – ‘A’ PSU which has over the years displayed its Par Excellence performance in harnessing of all Energy sources that are Hydro, Wind, Solar, Thermal and PSP. With excellent Team Spirit and imbibing State-of-Art Technology THDC has established New Benchmarks in Hydro Sector. Besides, its core strength of Designing, Construction and O&M of Major Hydro Projects, it has achieved remarkable feat of Commissioning Amelia Coal Mines 6 months ahead of Schedule. Sh. Vishnoi stated that although THDC is in the Business of development and providing of Affordable Power 24 x 7 to all, it is equally conscientious of its responsibility towards overall Socio-Economic development of the society. Sh. Vishnoi congratulated THDC-SEWA, on the occasion of the Flagging off ceremony of Mobile Medical Van cum Ambulance by THDC at Nirmal Ashram Eye Hospital, Rishikesh.
Sh. Vishnoi added that, THDCIL being a socially responsible organization, continuously strives to come up with various solutions of Health, Hygiene, Education, Skill Development, Agriculture, Preservation of Culture, Women Empowerment etc. though its NGO i.e. THDC-SEWA.
Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDCIL and Maharaj Jodh Singh Ji, Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh jointly launched the Mobile Medical Van cum Ambulance Services, in its endeavor towards THDCIL’s vision for universal healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDCIL said that THDC has always been at the forefront for the Socio-Economic growth of populace of Uttarakhand, more specifically towards those who have been affected by our Projects and in its commitment towards this, the THDC Mobile Medical Van cum Ambulance, would pave way for providing Health-related services at the doorsteps of the Project displaced families.
CSR project in partnership with Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute aims to provide free eye care facilities and check-ups to communities residing at remote location of THDCIL’s project-affected areas by organizing regular health camps throughout the year. The project also enlists the identification of individuals suffering from cataracts and providing them free of cost eye surgery at Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute, Rishikesh with zero financial burden on the beneficiary. This is one of the initiatives of THDC towards silently and selflessly reaching out to the needy in the remotest and far-flung hilly locations.
On this occasion General Manager (S&E), Sh. Amardeep, GM (S&E), THDCIL, Sh. Ajay Sharma, Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute side along with other officials from the THDCIL’s and Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute side were also present.
