THDCIL and GMVN Join Hands to Set Up Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Char Dham Yatra Route in UK

Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited (THDCIL), has announced a significant collaboration between THDCIL and Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GMVN). They have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 18, 2023, with the aim of establishing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations at 14 guest houses owned by GMVN along the Char Dham Yatra route in Uttarakhand.
This partnership is set to encourage the use of electric vehicles on this sacred route, contributing to a reduction in pollution and aligning with environmental conservation efforts. Sh. Vishnoi emphasized the commitment of both organizations to make the charging stations operational before the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra next year.
This initiative signifies a significant step towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation options in Uttarakhand. The MoU was signed by Praveen Saxena, General Manager (Business Development), on behalf of THDCIL, and Rakesh Saklani, AGM (Tourism), representing GMVN. The signing ceremony was attended by Vinod Giri Goswami, IAS, the Managing Director of GMVN, and senior officers from both organizations.
