Rishikesh, 21 May 2025: In line with the Government of India’s directives, THDC India Limited is organizing a series of cleanliness awareness activities under *Swachhata Pakhwada 2025* from 16 to 31 May across its Corporate Office, project sites, units, and field offices. As part of this initiative, a one-day drawing, essay, and slogan writing competition was conducted at THDC High School, Rishikesh to promote cleanliness consciousness among students. Additionally, a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program was also held.
CMD of THDC, Shri R.K. Vishnoi, emphasized that cleanliness reflects a mindset and lifestyle, not just a campaign. He stated that instilling this value in children and youth from an early age is key to building a cleaner, healthier, and more aware India. Director (Personnel), Shri Shailendra Singh, highlighted that cleanliness becomes impactful only when it becomes a habit and personal responsibility.
Around 60 students participated in the drawing, essay, and slogan competitions, while 125 girls from classes 6 to 10 attended the hygiene awareness session led by Dr. Mansi from THDC Niramaya. She addressed myths, hygiene practices, and health issues related to menstruation. Sanitary pads were distributed to all participants.
The program was supported by senior THDC officials, school staff, and teachers, and reflects THDC’s commitment to inclusive, sustainable cleanliness initiatives
