THDC India Limited Hosts Successful State-Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation
1 min readRishikesh, 13th November 2024: THDC India Limited, a key power sector PSU, successfully conducted the State-Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation in Uttarakhand at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh. Organized under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, the competition aimed to raise awareness on energy conservation.
The theme for this year, “Protect Nature’s Gifts, Embrace Sustainable Shifts” and “You have the power to save the power,” encouraged students to creatively express the importance of saving energy. The event witnessed significant participation, with over 1.8 lakh students from 304 schools across Uttarakhand.
Winners from both Group A (Classes 5-7) and Group B (Classes 8-10) received prizes, with the first-place winners earning cash rewards of Rs. 50,000. The top three winners from each group will represent Uttarakhand in the national-level competition in Delhi.
R. K. Vishnoi, CMD of THDC, emphasized the role of such initiatives in fostering sustainable energy practices, while Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), congratulated the participants for their exceptional contributions.
