THDC India Limited Honoured for Outstanding Initiatives During Swachhata Pakhwada 2025

Rishikesh, September 29, 2025 – THDC India Limited, a premier power sector PSU, has been recognized for its exemplary initiatives and outstanding performance during Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, observed from May 16 to 31, 2025.
At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Power, Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi, Shri Pankaj Agarwal (IAS), Secretary (Power), Government of India, presented the award to Shri R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited. The event was organized by the Ministry of Power in association with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
The recognition underscores THDCIL’s impactful activities across its projects and units during the fortnight. The initiatives included:
- Large-scale cleanliness drives at project sites, townships, and nearby villages
- Zero-plastic campaigns and sanitation awareness programs
- Community engagement through street plays, painting competitions, and Swachhta pledge ceremonies
- Tree plantation drives to promote greenery
- Innovative “Treasure out of Trash” campaign highlighting recycling and reuse practices
- Extensive social media campaigns for wider outreach
Senior officials including Shri Piyush Singh (IAS), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power; Shri D. Sai Baba, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power; Shri Praveen Kumar, Under Secretary, MoP; and Shri Balwant Singh, Manager (CMD Sect.), THDCIL were present at the ceremony.
All activities were systematically documented on the Swachhata Samiksha Portal as per Ministry guidelines, ensuring transparency and accountability.
