THDC India Limited Co- Hosts the 5th Uttarakhand State-Level Yogasana Sports Competition
2 min readऋषिकेश, 25.10.2024: THDC India Limited, a leading public sector enterprise in India’s energy sector, in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Yogasana Sports Association and the Dehradun District Yogasana Sports Association, organized 5th Uttarakhand State-Level Yogasana Sports Competition 2024 (पंचम उत्तराखंड राज्य स्तरीय योगासन प्रतियोगिता) at its Corporate office in Rishikesh. Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, CMD THDCIL informed that this prestigious three-day event being organized from 25th to 27th October 2024 is a unique platform for participants across the state to showcase their yogic skills and abilities.
The event was inaugurated by Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDC India Limited, as the Chief Guest with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of Sh. Dineshwar Prasad Raturi (Former Air Force Officer), Dr. Subhash Kumar (Ayurvedic Unani Adhikari, Tehri Garhwal), Sh. Veer Singh, ED (Business Development) THDCIL and other senior officers.
While addressing the gathering, Sh. Shallinder Singh emphasized the significance of yoga in achieving a balanced and harmonious life. His words resonated with the audience, reflecting the essence of the event. He also underscored THDC India Limited’s long-standing commitment to community development through its various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As part of its CSR efforts, THDCIL has been actively promoting health, wellness, and sports, particularly focusing on the youth and underserved sections of society. Singh remarked that THDC has always been sensitive and proactive towards various CSR initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic status of Uttarakhand. He stated, “THDCIL is always at the forefront of such initiatives, which significantly contribute to our overall efficiency. Following his address, the participants showcased their dedication through impressive yoga artistic performances, captivating everyone present and adding a vibrant touch to the inauguration.
The three-day Yogasana competition includes around 300 participants aged between 10 to 55 years from across various states of the country showcasing their dedication to yoga. This diverse representation highlights the event’s appeal, bringing together talent from nearly all states in India. The competition serves as a platform for individuals to demonstrate their yogic skills while promoting the rich heritage of yoga.
