THDC Hosts Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 Campaign

Rishikesh, 21.09.2024: Following the directives of the Government of India, the Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign is being celebrated nationwide from September 17 to October 2, 2024. In this context, Mr. R.K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, announced that a cleanliness program was held today, September 20, 2024, along the main road of Yognagar Railway Station, Rishikesh.

During the event, footpath vendors on both sides of the road were educated about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and the benefits associated with it. Mr. Vishnoi emphasized that cleanliness is not only a personal responsibility but also essential for the collective health and well-being of society. He urged everyone to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and inspire others to do the same.

Mr. Shailendra Singh, Director (Personnel), highlighted that the main road of Yognagar Railway Station has been selected for beautification and maintenance under the “Swachhata Lakshya Unit” as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 initiative. He noted that this program is a significant step toward promoting collective efforts for cleanliness and raising awareness within the community.

The Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign includes various activities planned by the Government of India, which involve collaboration with schools, colleges, and local organizations to drive cleanliness initiatives.

Approximately 95 individuals participated in the event, contributing to the cleanliness drive. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Amardeep, General Manager of Social and Environmental Services, along with OSD Mr. Maheshchand Ramola, and other key personnel including Mr. V.P. Ratuodi, Mr. Sujeet Pandey, Mr. B.S. Negi, Mr. Dharmaprakash, Ms. Anamika Budakoti, and Mr. Pradeep Ghilidiyal.
