Technology & Tradition Shine at LR B.Ed. Institute’s NSS Camp

Solan, May 15 – On the fifth day of the ongoing 7-day NSS camp at LR B.Ed. Institute, Solan, activities began with a computer workshop led by NSS Coordinator Megha Thakur. Computer lecturer Shivani Jain gave a practical session on hardware and software, emphasizing the responsible use of technology. A special self-defense session for girls was also held, conducted by national and international Kudo athletes Anshika and Piyush.

In the second session, under the leadership of Educational Director Dr. P.P. Sharma, former Director Dr. R.P. Nanta, and Principal Dr. Nisha, students visited Kyiar village under the “Ghar Sampark” campaign initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to spread awareness about sanitation. The campaign also introduced the “NAMASTE” scheme focusing on mechanized and safe sanitation practices.

The day concluded with a vibrant cultural evening under the “Jayati Jay Bharatam” theme, where B.Ed. volunteers presented the traditional Kinnauri Nati and lively Punjabi dances. Principal Dr. Nisha praised the volunteers for their commitment to community service and encouraged them to apply their education to serve society.
