Shimla Dec 13 : Himachal Pradesh University Teachers Welfare Association (HPUTWA) observed “Black Day” today, protesting outside the Vice-Chancellor’s office. They highlighted long-pending demands, including implementation of CAS for promotions, restoration of Ph.D. increments post-2014, construction of new residential buildings under PM Usha, and release of arrears from the 2016 pay scale revision. Teachers expressed anger over insufficient basic facilities and the lack of progress in university projects due to administrative delays. HPUTWA vowed to continue the agitation until demands are met.
