TCP Permission Mandatory for Construction on Plots Over 1000 Sq. Meters
1 min readHamirpur, Sept 6, 2025 – Town and Country Planner Harjinder Singh informed that prior approval from the TCP Department is now mandatory for construction on plots exceeding 1000 sq. meters.
As per the Town and Country Planning Act, 1977, prior permission is already required for notified planning and special areas. Now, this rule will also apply to rural areas outside these zones. Large-scale construction on such plots will come under the provisions of the TCP Act.
The TCP Department has urged residents to obtain necessary permissions in advance to avoid complications later.
