Talk on Corpus Linguistics and Literature held

Belletristic, the Shoolini Literature Society at Shooini University hosted a talk on corpus linguistics, which discussed how language data is displayed and analysed, as well as how literary texts can be analysed qualitatively and quantitatively using corpus linguistics.
The speaker, of the talk was Prof. Hajar Abdul Rahim, a senior professor of linguistics in the English Language Studies section, School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang. She explained the nature and uses of corpus linguistics and went into detail on how to access it online and use it for the critical analysis of texts.
An advance over the traditional form of linguistics, corpus linguistics needs a corpus or a body of digitized material that may be accessed electronically in different ways for analysis through specific software.
