1 min read

Una, August 10 – The Swadeshi Jagran Manch, under its Swadeshi Security and Self-Reliance Campaign, launched the ‘Foreign Companies Quit India’ movement from Mahetpur market in Una district. The event, supported by the local traders’ association and social organisations, aimed to promote indigenous products and boycott foreign goods.

District convenor Satyadev Sharma urged citizens to replace foreign products with Swadeshi items in their daily lives, emphasising that supporting local markets strengthens the economy, traders, and small shopkeepers. Traders took a pledge to avoid foreign goods and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Swadeshi adoption, viewing it as a form of national service.

Speakers highlighted the need to protect domestic industries from cheap imports, especially from China, and stressed that Swadeshi is not just an economic movement but also linked to national security and cultural pride.
