Supplier Arrested in 5.52g Heroin Seizure Case in Deha

Shimla, March 3: Continuing its crackdown under the “Zero Tolerance” policy against drugs, **Shimla Police** has arrested the supplier in a heroin recovery case registered at Police Station Deha.
On February 27, 2026, Deha Police apprehended Rohit (25), a resident of Village Palua, Tehsil Theog, with 5.52 grams of heroin (chitta) during patrol duty. FIR No. 08/26 dated February 28, 2026, was registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.
During investigation, based on evidence collected, police arrested the alleged supplier Ajay Chauhan (37), resident of Village Dharkalana, Tehsil Theog, under Section 29 of the NDPS Act on March 2, 2026. He was produced before the competent court, which granted three days of police remand.
Further investigation in the case is ongoing. Shimla Police reiterated that strict action against drug trafficking will continue to protect youth from the harmful effects of narcotics.
