Sukhu Must Answer for Connections with Mining Businessmen Under ED Probe: Jairam Thakur

Shimla, July 10, 2024: Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, has demanded that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu explain his connections with mining businessmen now under the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) probe. Thakur criticized the Sukhu government for rampant corruption and misuse of power, accusing the administration of prioritizing scams over public welfare and attempting to silence the opposition. He emphasized the opposition’s role in holding the government accountable and vowed to continue raising issues of public interest. Thakur also met with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to discuss the situation.
